LEED – Green Building Certification System

What is LEED?

LEED = Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – established by the US Green Building Council in 1995.

LEED is comprised of: 1) rating systems (sustainability credits and criteria) for existing buildings and new construction, 2) a training  & certification system for sustainability professionals, and 3) includes an evolving software-driven, sustainability accounting system.

Why should your organization implement LEED-EB (LEED for Existing Buildings)?

  • Achieve Environmental Responsibility
  • Take Advantage of Government Incentives
  • Increase Building Performance Efficiency
  • Reduce Annual Operations & Maintenance Costs
  • Create Healthier (Happier) Work Environment
  • Develop A Consolidated & Structured Building Management Program
  • Cultivate Potential for Higher Building Lease Rates & Sales Prices (for owners)

DGE & LEED

We firmly believe in sustainability and in the value of the US Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED Rating System for effectively analyzing, measuring, and communicating construction and operational sustainability practices in institutional and corporate facilities.  Our strategic partnership is committed to the LEED process and to the development of sustainability programs that deliver real value, both to the environment and to the client.

We believe that achieving LEED certification as part of a broader sustainability initiative will serve to measurably reduce impacts on the environment, enroll employees and building occupants in the global pursuit of sustainability, and make a profound statement to stakeholders and the public about our clients’ corporate social and environmental responsibility ethos.
